Cheryl Knott, an associate professor at Boston University, is the Executive Director of the Gunung Palung Orangutan Conservation Program. Her organization, which is one of the longest running primate research projects in the world, researches orangutan behavior and adaptations and promotes ecotourism to help protect this endangered species.
