Indonesian Sesame Street

Jalan Sesama, the Indonesian version of Sesame Street, debuted in 2008. Taking place in a village, the educational show features characters such as Tantan, an enthusiastic orangutan. Jalan Sesama, which is produced locally with the help of Sesame Workshop, quickly became one of the most watched children’s shows in Indonesia, emphasizing literacy and diversity.
