Education for Teachers and Students Alike

At primary schools across Indonesia, USAID-provided textbooks are not only improving literacy but also sparking a passion for reading. Until now, USAID has donated eight million books to 13,000 schools, benefiting 3.7 million Indonesian elementary and middle school students.

A grant from USAID partner Yayasan Kristen Wamena has also been used to train recent graduates to teach in Papua Province. The training focused on making learning more engaging for students.
